In Devblog #1 I mentioned I would focus on XIVPads Migration. This is mainly because I have to pay to keep that site running and while it is live I can't update a service I use called XIVSync (parses Lodestone). Migrating that over would bring:
- Full character profiles including all tracking features
- Achievement Rankings
- Achievement Statistics
- Player Census
- Site Support
The big chunk is the character stuff, and moving it over would take a bit of work, probably a few weeks.
But!, I think most people want the XIVDB v1 missing features back, the Shopping Cart, the Wardrobe, and other tools.
So instead I am gong to focus on those features, it is a lot easier as I've got the logic from v1 and I don't need to "design" anything, I will keep it how it was and improve later based on Feedback.
So my priority to-do list is
- Fetch over Shopping Cart feature (including the quick one on recipe pages)
- Fetch over Wardrobe tool
- Fetch over Item Comparison
- Fetch over Skill Tree
Thats my main to do list, in that order. I will also do various QOL fixes in-between, the API will be going on SSL this week as well as account features (Account page and Login/register/forgot password). There will also be some bug fixes people have found and some additional features that have been requested (option to hide tabs in filters, saving results, etc)
After this has completed, I will do a rundown of all visible content data against the old site, there will be absolute no situation where old site had more info. This means a lot of work to the map stuff (SE wiped a lot of map coordinates in 3.0 and 3.1, nothing I can do about it but manually add them, thank you to all the awesome community members submitting positions).
After that, I will be merging XIVPads and implementing Chinese language!Woop :D
